You're invited to make yourself at home in the ancient city of Sulmona, nestled in the majestic
Abruzzo region of Italy.

Originally built in the
1200's for the Barone Mazzara, this historic property is the ideal setting
for your vacation back in time. As the home of the noble Mazzara family,
it was the scene of many lavish social celebrations that brought together
the wealthy land owning aristocracy of the region.
Subsequently, the property became the
site of the famous Hotel Traffico that boasted the best chefs in all
of Abbruzzo. Located in the hub of the old city, it is walking
distance to numerous shops, restaurants, museums and the historic sites
of Sulmona.
In January of 2002, Sulmona native and
Boston restaurateur Filippo Frattaroli and his wife Anna Forlani Frattaroli
purchased the property and began renovations that would restore it to
its original architectural prominence overlooking Piazza Maggiore.
The terrence, a skybox to history, is
the perfect vantage point to view the bi-weekly open-air mercato, Easter
week events, the annual Giostra Cavalleresca di Sulmona and numerous
festivities that draw the citizens of Sulmona together.
Cuoco D'Oro stands ready to welcome
you and your guests for an unforgettable experience.
